Drapanias is a village 25 minutes drive from Chania. It is close to the village of Nopigia with the homonymous beach and 3 km from the town of Kasteli where you can find everything you need: health center, pharmacy, supermarket, bakeries, gas stations, post office, banks and ATMs.
Drapanias is a seaside and mountain village. The mountainous part of the village has a population of 500 inhabitants and has picturesque, narrow alleys and beautiful churches, where you can admire the stunning views.
In the village you can buy goods from grocery stores and mini markets or visit traditional restaurants and cafes.
A beautiful olive grove path leads you to the coastal part of Drapanias, a place clean and unaffected by mass tourism.
The beach of Drapanias offers you a great opportunity to swim in clear waters, to relax and enjoy sunbathing in a peaceful environment. Alternatively, there is the part of the beach where you can sunbathe in a more cosmopolitan environment with sunbeds and umbrellas or even spend time in cafes and traditional restaurants that offer a variety of Cretan cuisine.
